British furniture brand, Benchmark have been awarded with a win in the UK’s Wood Awards in the category ‘Production: Furniture & Product’ for their beautifully crafted McChesney Bench.
The awards, which aim to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation using the naturally sustainable material wood, have highlighted Benchmark for their sculptural McChesney Bench. Designed by renowned British architect, Ian McChesney, the bench brings an elegant, curving organic design to the table that will instantly draw people in with its pillowed top and bottom face, natural oil finish and broad platform (which just entices passers-by to rest).
Available in European Oak or American Black Walnut, the McChesney Bench is also attainable in two sizes. The Gallery Bench design is crafted to take centre stage and sit in the centre of a room, also allowing for sitting on either side. The Foyer Bench is slightly smaller, designed to sit at the edge of a foyer or hallway and allows for sitting on only one side rather than both.
