Decorex | Four UK interior designers to design the show’s main entrance

Jo leGleud & Scott Maddux – Maddux Creative

Decorex International (16th -19th September 2018) returns for its 41st edition this year at the historic Syon Park. Hosting over 400 exhibitors, and the opening destination of The London Design Festival, the show features everything from established names to up-and-coming brands.

Decorex’s central theme this year is ‘Blank Canvas’, which invites the show’s participants to explore and discover how an empty space can celebrate a new beginning…

Henry Prideaux

Four acclaimed UK interior designers including Brian Woulfe, Henry Prideaux, Jo leGleud & Scott Maddux and Simone Suss have been briefed to explore this concept in the space that occupies the show’s main entrance. Each will create site-specific installations that tell of the journey behind each of their development as designers, while also creating a vignette that represents their paths and features everything from items, colours and patterns that may have influenced them along the way. Partially hidden at the entrance, visitors will discover more of each vignette by moving through the opening space.

Simone Suss

Decorex have revealed that Henry Prideaux Interior Design will draw on the founder’s senior year at Harrow School, while Studio Suss’ creation will be inspired by the past experiences of founder, Simone Suss and how the decades have shaped her. The installations from Maddux Collective and Brian Woulfe are yet to be announced.
