Vipp Supper Club | A unique dining experience

A converted pencil factory in Copenhagen is the setting for the Vipp Supper Club, a new dining experience featuring talented chefs from all over the world.

Situated in Copenhagen’s area of Islands Brygge, the 100-year-old pencil factory has been transformed into a refined dining and entertaining room. The creative vision of interior designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard has curated the 400 square metre space that will serve as the first venue for the Vipp Supper Club concept featuring talented chefs from around the world.

“It’s not a restaurant. But we do invite spectacular chefs to cook up intimate dinners. Nor is it a nightclub. But we do invite talented musicians to play a tune. Nor is it a showroom. But we have invited renowned designers and artists to sharpen up the venue with a Vipp kitchen and furniture,” says Kasper Egelund, CEO and 3rd generation Vipp owner.

A wonderful mix of food, art, design, architecture, and music, will invite guests in to the Bauhaus-inspired building where the V2 kitchen by Vipp takes centre stage. From the 26-person-long-table, guests will be able to enjoy the experience of watching the skilled chefs show off their craftsmanship preparing, plating, and presenting dishes.

The welcoming ambience for the Vipp Supper Clubs in the original pencil factory setting is created through a well-balanced vision that combines the original features with an intimate and homely feel. It has a gallery-like vibe with various curated art pieces around the room, including paintings, ceramics, sculptures, and conceptual installations, mixed with key pieces from Vipp’s kitchen and furniture collections.

The very first Vipp Supper Club took place on 23rd September after the launch of the Vipp Pencil Factory during Denmark’s annual design event 3daysofdesign. Former Noma R&D sous chef, Ricardo Canella, cooked the opening dinner which was an experimental tasting menu titled ‘A Tale of a Venetian in Denmark’.

So, with the scene set and the table laid… watch this space to see what comes next from the Vipp Supper Club.
