The Suunto 9 Peak Pro sports watch | Fully carbon compensated

Leading by example, Finnish brand Suunto has introduced the first GPS multi-sport watch to have its carbon footprint completely compensated – the Suunto 9 Peak Pro.

According to Suunto, the robust watch creates the equivalent of 75kg of CO2 across its entire lifespan – that’s less than a petrol car produces driving 30 miles. It’s built to be long-lasting and repairable, and it has an enduring battery life that will last for weeks.

For fitness enthusiasts, the watch has a tried and tested durability and toughness yet in style it is ultra-thin. There are over 95 individual sports modes to choose from, and it will reliably track daily activity such as steps, heart rate, sleep, calories, stress levels, and more.

“A new bike commute mode even shows how much CO2 you’ve saved after each activity, which should make you think twice about reaching for the car keys,” adds enki’s Technology Editor James Day.

The Suunto 9 Peak Pro watch is made with sapphire glass, stainless steel, and two models with grade 5 titanium

Each watch is handcrafted in Suunto’s Finnish factory using 100% renewable energy, and excellent craftsmanship and engineering are at the forefront of the design process.

“The Suunto 9 Peak Pro was engineered with a new, more powerful chipset architecture that boosts the performance to a new level while having the best-in-class battery life compared to similar sized products on the market”, says Vice President of Product Sami Männistö.

“The new user interface, with bigger icons and digits, as well as the use of white and color background elements make the watch easier to operate and read during sports, allowing sports enthusiasts to focus better on what they do best.”

Prices start from £429.
