Danish design company, Normann Copenhagen recently unveiled the brand’s very first component-based chair: the Allez chair. Based on a ‘knock down’ principle and crafted from pure polypropylene, the design is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
Showcasing design notes reminiscent of French city life and the bistro culture that emerged in the late 1800s, the Allez chair is suitable for implementation in a hectic, urban lifestyle where locations are space poor. Following in the footsteps of the Wiener chair (the very symbol of cafe culture) the Allez beckons a fresh, functional design that infuses both constructive strength in terms of functionality and sustainability and the soft, comfortable curves of the traditional chairs that came before it.
The functionality of the Allez chair is to be applauded. With the design’s components available in several variants, the user is able to put together a design that meets their individual needs. Choose colour-coordinated seat upholstery (available in quality fabrics from Camira and Sørensen Leather, as well as OEKO-TEX-certified outdoor upholstery from Sunbrella), or deliberate over the sensory spray-molded weave option to add a little extra French bistro pizzazz and the opportunity to add warmth with beautifully crafted oak chair legs.
Even the colour options are hardworking. Choose between five timeless, neutral tones including park green, grey and warm grey, black and white. All options reflect the stark beauty of Nordic nature and work beautifully amongst varying environments, from commercial spaces to around the table at home. Plus, if your Normann Copenhagen Allez chairs require an aesthetically-pleasing companion, the matching cast-iron based table (with varying tabletops available) will work perfectly.
