For unique and intimate hotel brand, Zoomers their intent is to offer “an oasis of peace where you can really relax”. And, we can certainly see that they do this. With roots established in the enchanting coastline of Castricum, it’s amongst the Dutch dunes that this intriguing hotel rises. Originally completed by Dutch practice Breddels Architecten at the start of 2020, this boutique hotel breathes a rather effortless, neutral palette-clad sense of style and spirit.
The concept for the hotel was based on a collaboration between Strandhotel Zoomers and interior brand, HKliving – a Dutch company founded by Emiel Hetsen and Sander Klaver. This, alongside the signature styling skills of creative studio, The Other Season have fused to create an intimate beach hotel with a truly unique identity and allure.
Nature light filters gently through blinds, highlighting the enticingly neutral colour palette and natural tones that fill the hotel’s entirety, echoing the naturally timber-clad façade of the building and the warming nuances in tones of the dunes that surround it. Featuring carefully crafted, refined items from HKliving, The Other Season have curated spaces within the interior of the hotel which invite guests to relax and unwind in, with a real sense of calm.
Unusually, the beach hotel has no reception. Guests book and pay online in advance and will receive a personal room access code by email. You’ll find, along with a dune or sea view, all rooms come with a small kitchen and fridge. Walking distance from the beach – and notably, the beach hotel’s sister, Beach Pavilion Zoomers where they work with the best organic food in their restaurant kitchen – Strandhotel Zoomers offers a truly exclusive stay where unforgettable memories are waiting to be made.
