Stellar Works has just unveiled its first ever collection with Australian designer Tom Fereday and Asia’s luxury department store, Lane Crawford. The collection, which will have its full UK debut from 21-23 May 2019 at London’s Clerkenwell Design Week, was conceived following Lane Crawford’s Creative Call Out Sydney in 2018 in which Tom Fereday was announced the winner. And, the prize? To create a new furniture range for Stellar Works.
Composed of a lounge chair, table range with dining chair and bed, the Crawford Collection follows in the footsteps of Stellar Work’s ethos. These beautifully crafted, elegant designs – featuring natural materials and enticing details – celebrate honest design and Asian sensibilities as well as embracing a style that is also effortlessly appealing to a wider international audience too. The new pieces also represent a fusion of cultures that celebrate the growing design movement in the Asia Pacific region.
Each of the slender, minimalist furniture designs are created from solid timber and breathe timeless elegance. Paired with a contrasting stainless steel frame, each will instantly lift a space and draw you into a room with their unfussy form and clean lines.
“I develop products based on the principle of honest design, this involves celebrating the materials and manufacturing processes behind my furniture and striving to create enduring products that are meaningful to people and our environment.” Australian designer Tom Fereday
Made to last, here at enki we particularly like the designers’ shared values in sustainability and the careful manufacturing process they are committed to.
