With a proud heritage and ethos based around delivering beautifully crafted, contemporary bathrooms and tiles, VitrA is dedicated to paving the way forward with their new and innovative designs. This forward-thinking spirit is also recognisable through their partnership with the RIBA. They have recently announced the new season of the RIBA + VitrA talks programme with a line-up that includes the likes of internationally-recognised Scandinavian practices Snøhetta and Dorte Mandrup.

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) + VitrA Talks series was launched in September 2018, and kicks-off its second year with Craig Dykers and Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, the founding partners of Snøhetta. Already sold out, this will take place on Tuesday 12th November 2019 at the RIBA headquarters in London, where the founders will present recent projects and outline their practice’s trans-disciplinary approach to architecture and landscape.

Following this, the partnership will bring a talk by Dorte Mandrup to the table for Tuesday 28th January 2020 (also held at the RIBA headquarters in London) where the Danish architect will discuss her studio’s hands-on approach to design and dedication to improving the culture of architecture practice.

I want to follow the ambitions set out in the first year of the RIBA + VitrA partnership to provide a programme that continues to prioritise speakers that reflect the exciting and diverse ecology of architectural practice that exists today” says Chloe Spiby Loh, the newly appointed Public Programmes Manager at the RIBA

The talks partnership has created a platform for the global exchange of architectural ideas, and the partnership reflects a shared commitment to add social, economic and cultural value to society. The series has brought together incredible emerging and established internationally renowned voices including Sir David Adjaye, Kazuyo Sejima and Grimshaw Architects.

We are thrilled to see the second year of the talks series start with two great talks building on the inspirational and informative talks from year one. By hosting leading voices from the international architecture scene, we hope the RIBA + VitrA Talks will help contribute to the exchange of ideas in contemporary architecture.” Levent Giray, Managing Director of VitrA UK
