This week Aesop unveiled their latest trio of Aromatique Candles, created in collaboration with long-term collaborator, Barnabé Fillion.
The trio of luxurious candles have been designed to “offer means of adding subtle light as well as nuanced, lingering fragrances to any interior.” As Aesop’s Director of Innovation, Dr Kate Forbes describes, the driving concept of the new arrivals began with ‘the notion of “candles as stars”. Notably therefore, each of the three new arrivals bears the name of an astronomer of ancient repute, including Aganice, Callippus and Ptolemy.
This celestial theme takes its inspiration from what the brand describes as “ancient astronomy and associated mythologies” as well as “the historical significance of candles, seeking new aromatic blends that would engender a sense of equanimity and refuge from workaday concerns.”
The trio of new candle arrivals will be part of Aesop’s Scented Home range which also includes Aromatique Room Sprays, Oil Burner Blends and their Brass Oil Burner. Available at Aesop signature stores, online and from selected stockists.
