Nestled within the lush Lancashire landscape, Moor Hall unveils its new Garden Rooms designed by KOTO. Sharing a plot with chef Mark Birchall’s two Michelin-starred restaurant, a stay in one of the new Garden Rooms offers “design finesse, unparalleled culinary expertise and a sustainable luxury travel experience.”
Surrounded by woodlands and landscaped gardens for the entirety of your stay at Moor Hall, natural touches trickle throughout KOTO’s design details. Each of the Garden Rooms is named after a botanical (Meliot, Sea Buckthorn, Woodruff, Sweet Cicely, Borage and Anise Hyssop), where bespoke interiors lead guests on a sensory journey that reflects the essence of Moor Hall, from garden to plate to room.
Subdued colour schemes such as woods with lilac accents are found in Anise Hyssop, while Sea Buckthorn features terracotta tones paired with white oak finishes, earthy textures and touches of black.
A project destined for greatness from the start because of Moor Hall and KOTO’s shared forward-thinking commitment to sustainability, the rooms are crafted with the surrounding environment in mind. Each one fitted with a private terrace and hot-tub, offering a fully nature-immersed retreat.
And in between lapping up the fresh woodland air, guests are also invited to fully immerse their taste-buds with lunch or dinner at Moor Hall. Starting in the lounge of the main house with an aperitif, followed by a tour of the kitchens, then being seated in front of views of lawns and lakes for the main event; Mark’s unforgettable modern British cuisine.
Post digestif, the grounds are yours to explore. Plus, if you’re really wanting to immerse yourself in the happenings at Moor Hall, guests can explore the five acre productive gardens that allowed Moor Hall to be awarded a Michelin Green Star. A tasting breakfast is served in The Barn; the neighbouring restaurant that also offers a relaxed setting while celebrating local tradition.
The first five Garden Rooms are available now for bookings, with the final two opening in August. The Garden Rooms take their place alongside Moor Hall’s seven original luxurious rooms, spread across the Grade II Listed, thirteenth century house and gatehouse.
Prices start from £650 for a bed and breakfast for two, and reservation in Moor Hall’s restaurant is required as part of all Garden Room bookings.
