London Festival of Architecture (LFA) has revealed its 2022 programme of events for its month-long celebration of the city’s architecture and urban spaces.

Returning to London from 1st-30th June, London Festival of Architecture 2022 will open up new discussions, test new ideas, and offer an engaging series of public events and installations. The jam-packed programme features over 400 events that explore the engaging theme titled ‘Act’, inviting the audience to reflect on how we should take action in the face of the climate emergency, social injustice, and the needs of a changing society.

“As humans our days are filled with everyday acts – for instance acts of kindness, our interactions with friends, families, colleagues and strangers,” said Rosa Rogina, director of the LFA. “How does architecture shape those acts? For me, architecture is more than something that’s there in the background: it acts as an agent in every aspect of our lives that deserves to be explored and celebrated.”

Whilst LFA spans across London, reimagining public spaces and hosting a range of events, this year there are five destinations where a concentrated buzz of activity will happen. The 2022 destinations include London Borough of Camden, the City of London, the Royal Docks and South Westminster. Plus, the exciting addition of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park which is celebrating the 10-year anniversary since the London 2012 Olympic Games.

With so much going on, we’ve flagged up some of the highlights in the London Festival of Architecture 2022 destinations below…
