A tribute from Enki’s Editor Charlotte Coward-Williams, upon the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 8th September 2022:

“Although we knew this day would come, it is still with deep sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the constant and comforting backdrop to our lives in Britain and across the world. This is indeed the end of an era. Queen Elizabeth was the most remarkable role model and will be greatly missed.”

All of our thoughts are with the Royal Family as they mourn Her Majesty’s death and remember her remarkable life.

In her 70 years as monarch, she has inspired the whole Nation and been an inspiration to many. During her reign, Queen Elizabeth opened (and reopened) a significant list of buildings in the UK and the Commonwealth. Among these include The Commonwealth Institute (London, UK, 1962), Sydney Opera House (Sydney, Australia, 1973), and the Scottish Parliament Building (Edinburgh, Scotland, 2004).

If you would like to pay tribute to Her Majesty and share a message of condolence, this can be sent directly to the Royal Family via their official book of condolence.
