Of all the places to bring GROHE’s Aqua Gallery to life, it was Garden Senato (a little pocket of green found in the heart of Milan’s fashion district) that caught the eye of the German brand. Offering similar restorative qualities to that of a bathroom – where the sense-raising sounds and movements of water inspire a state of tranquility and mindfulness – GROHE invited guests to enjoy a moment of calm within the garden sanctuary.

Designed to showcase the “beauty, creativity and humanity” of GROHE, the careful curation blends the brand’s leading human-centric innovations with proprietary technologies to elevate the water experience.

“A gallery honours and reveres the beauty of art. The GROHE Aqua Gallery celebrates the beauty of the Pure Joy of Water. It embodies our dedication to creating a future where form, function, and impact blend seamlessly – delivering products that elevate everyday water experiences to offer the Pure Joy of Water,” explains Paul Flowers, Leader, LIXIL Global Design & Brand Identity, Chief Design and Brand Officer & Executive Vice President.

The concept for the exhibition was conceived by the in-house LIXIL Global Design and Brand Identity team

“Our installation poetically expresses the duality of our brand highlighting its emotional, creative with the more rational, technological site. In this juxtaposition, design plays an essential role in connecting different facets of our lives. It requires profound research, a deep understanding of human needs, cultural values, and traditions,” he continues.

“The GROHE Aqua Gallery reflects the brand’s commitment to shaping a future where design, functionality and responsibility coexist in perfect harmony.”

As the installation unravels, weaving through both the interior and garden spaces, the Aqua Gallery reveals the form, function and impact of GROHE’s innovations. These crafted artefacts are efficient objects that deliver meaningful water experiences and bridge the gap between humans, water and the environment.

Over the course of Milan Design Week, the Aqua Gallery showcased several of the brand’s latest launches for the very first time, including the GROHE Purefoam; a shower head technology that provides a perfect blend of water and hydrating Kinuami soap to deliver a “cocooning foam and vertical bath-like experience” for every shower.

A second product highlight has to be the GROHE Essence Crafted Lever from the Essence collection (the brand’s most-specified faucet for affordable luxury in projects across Europe). This style offers harmonious proportions and minimalist transitions, and with the new lever variants and a selection of colour choices, the collection is customisable.

Venturing into the secluded garden where the exhibition continues, here GROHE invited visitors for a moment of reflection at the Aqua Atelier, while showcasing its sustainable practices at the adjacent Aqua Bar. This is “not just a place for refreshments,” but a tangible installation built from recycled bottles to highlight the impact of single-use plastics and water pollution.

On a mission to enhance ecological water enjoyment, GROHE offers sustainable water solutions for the home. Tackling plastic pollution, the brand uses advanced water filtration systems within its collections and reducing the need for single-use plastic bottles.
